Paul, Francesca and their three young children run Hotel Au Coin du Feu all year round and have lived here for the past 18 years. As they live, breathe and work in the chalet they give their clients a very special personal touch and many of their guests have become close friends.
They are also very lucky to have an extremely high percentage of guests who return to Chilly Powder every year and recommend their holidays to their friends and families
Main responsibilities
Paul and Francesca own the hotel and live next door but you will need to be able to work independently running a team of 14 but they are always on call if you need advise or help;
Dealing with guest enquiries, answering questions about their forthcoming holiday, sending directions, etc
Working closely with our Head Nanny to plan the childcare bookings for each week of the season, ensuring that there is adequate capacity for all children in the chalet
Handling reservations and responding quickly and professionally to enquiry e-mails
Marketing ideas to sell the hotel in the “inter season”
Answering the phone and replying to emails in French and English
Confidence in using an Apple Mac computer
Managing & controlling all aspects of the hotel and ensure the daily smooth running
Managing customer satisfaction to the highest degree
Coordinating ski school bookings, child care requirements and transfers to and from the airport for our guests
You need to be happy to turn your hand at anything and flexible in your working hours
Able to manage budgets and control costs
Training of the rest of the team who will work under you
REQUIREMENTS
Your requirements and skills
All applicants must have an EU passport
All applicants must be able to speak English fluently and have a very good basis of written and spoken French
You will need to be independent, approachable and have a pro active attitude
A strong team player and a team leader
All applicants must have an EU valid health and safety certificate (HACCP)
You will have had to have a proven track record of working with in the ski or hospitability environment and with some marketing/ sales experience
